MANNA FILM wants to offer you stories and film experiences that you didn’t think you needed - just like manna, an unexpected gift, suddenly falling down from heaven. We strive to challenge and move you with visual excitement - always making sure that you never know what falls down next.

MANNA FILM is an independent film production company founded in 2013 by producer Maria Møller Kjeldgaard. Manna Film develops, produces and co-produces projects that experiment with film language and storytelling, focusing on collaborations with talents with a strong personal voice and artistic vision for projects intended for an international audience.

Recently, Manna Film has produced the fiction feature, THE QUIET MIGRATION by Malene Choi (Berlin IFF and winner of the Fipresci Prize leading to a nomination for European Discovery – Prix Fipresci at the European Film Awards); the adaptation of acclaimed Kim Leine’s novel, KALAK, by Isabella Eklöf (San Sebastian IFF and winner of Special Jury Prize & Best Cinematography); Zara Zerny’s feature documentary ECHO OF YOU (IDFA & HotDocs).

MARIA MØLLER KJELDGAARD • CEO & PRODUCER

Maria graduated as a producer from the independent film school Super16 in 2016. She holds a Master’s degree in Film Studies from University of Copenhagen. She has produced nine short films, one web series, two feature documentaries and four feature films.

Maria has also worked as a line producer on features such as HOLIDAY (Sundance FF 2018) and PSYCHOSIA (Venice FF 2019).

Maria has attended EAVE Producers Workshop, Eurodoc, MAIA Workshops, Rotterdam Lab, IDFAcademy, ACE Producers Training Days Nordic Focus, Young Nordic Producers Club at Cannes and she is a member of European Film Academy.

ANN-SOFIE GRØNDAL • PRODUCER

Ann-Sofie graduated as a producer from the independent Aarhus-based film school Super8 in 2020.

Over the past few years, she has worked on several TV series and feature films, taking on roles such as line producer and production manager; including titles as THE QUIET MIGRATION (Berlinale) & KALAK (San Sebastián).

She recently attended Young Nordic Producers Club at Cannes and is currently finishing her fiction feature debut as a producer, GIRL BEAST, by Selma Sunniva.

NANNA KIBSGAARD‍ ‍• IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION MANAGER

Nanna holds a degree from the Film School Via Film and Transmedia in Aarhus and has studied Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University in Vancouver.

She has worked on multiple feature films in various roles including location manager and production staff; including GIRL BEAST.
