MANNA FILM wants to offer you stories and film experiences that you didn’t think you needed - just like manna, an unexpected gift, suddenly falling down from heaven. We strive to challenge and move you with visual excitement - always making sure that you never know what falls down next.
MANNA FILM is an independent film production company founded in 2013 by producer Maria Møller Kjeldgaard. Manna Film develops, produces and co-produces projects that experiment with film language and storytelling, focusing on projects intended for an international audience. Manna Film has and continues to establish long term relationships with screenwriters and directors with a strong personal voice and artistic vision.
At the moment we are producing fiction features, documentaries and series, among others Isabella Eklöf’s upcoming feature, KALAK, which is in post-production, Malene Choi’s THE QUIET MIGRATION world premiere at Panorama at Berlin International Film Festival, Zara Zerny’s feature documentary WHEN TWO BECOME ONE, in production, Annika Berg’s feature 1VM, in development, and Vibeke Bryld’s fiction feature, THE AGE OF SILENCE, in development.
Maria Møller Kjeldgaard graduated as a producer from the independent film school Super16 in 2016. She holds a Master’s degree in Film Studies from University of Copenhagen. During her studies she interned at production company Nimbus Film in Copenhagen, working with Eva Jakobsen who later went on to co-found the groundbreaking film company Snowglobe. Maria has also worked as a line producer on features such as HOLIDAY (Sundance FF 2018) and PSYCHOSIA (Venice FF 2019).
Producer Maria Møller Kjeldgaard participated in Young Nordic Producers Club at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. She took part in ACE Producers Training Days Nordic Focus in 2017 and in 2018 she participated in NISI MASA’s European Short Pitch, Midpoint Short, Twelve for the Future, IDFAcademy and was part of the producer network MAIA Workshops. In 2019 she participated in the Eurodoc, New Horizon Studio+, Sources as well as TFL Script Lab.
